For many, life begins on earth and ends on earth after a mere 85, 95 to 105+ years. Others, who are enlightened from scriptures in the Holy Bible accompanied by the revelation through the Holy Spirit, have absorbed in their heart the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. These are they who believe there is more to come. Believers are immediately born again unto a New and Living Hope, as indicated in I Peter 1:3-4, 3 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy, He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade.” With this hope, eternity has already begun.
Believers are immediately transformed into God’s kingdom by way of the new birth. One study puts it this way:
“What will eternal life be like?” This is an unusual question at first glance because it seems to be asking about something that is yet future, and thus, assumed, cannot be known. But eternal life is not a state that is future only; it begins in the here and now, and then continues.
To better understand this concept, we must first ask the question, “What is eternal life and how is it obtained?” All people will have eternal life. It is just a matter of where you will spend it – heaven or hell.” (though this statement may seem dark, it is to awaken those who are sitting in darkness to be aware there is hope). http://www.allaboutspirituality.org/eternal-life-faq.htm
Not only have we already stepped into eternity through salvation, Christ Returns.
